Horse Paws Boy, Three and Crushes His Skull.

By international News Service      Abilene, Texas, Oct. 5.-Little 3-year-old Lewis McBride, son of L. E. McBride, was fatally injured when he approached and offered a handful of feed to his father’s horse. The horse lifted his front foot, knocking the child over, then pawed him, crushing his skull.

Mysterious Death of Many Horses.

       A trainload of 560 horses which Powell Bros. were taking from North Yakima, Wash., to South Omaha were unloaded and watered at Billings, Mont. They had had no water since leaving Spokane, thirty hours previous. Soon after drinking and eating the horses began to go into spasms. Half of the horses died.

Trampled By Horses.

       Two runaway horses, attached to a light wagon, dashed into the midst of a group of Milwaukee school children Tuesday, and seven of the children were severely hurt and others badly bruised. Some may die. Teachers and neighbors ran to the rescue, expecting to find a score or more killed.
