Cow

Singular.-The Paw Paw Free Press mentions a singular occurrence which took place in that village last week Wednesday. That evening a cow belonging to one of the citizens there, exhibited symptums which led to the belief that she had been bitten by a massaga, [a small species of rattlesnake,] and in order the more readily to doctor her, she was put into a barn which was occupied by three horses. The next morning on entering the barn; the cow was found dead, and the horses had all become blind and stiff. They were removed to the open air, and after being moved around and bled, recovered their sight; The barn is a very closed one, and it is supposed the poisoned atmosphere generated by the cow must have occasioned this state of things; The horses have entirely recovered.
