Drought Destroys Many Cattle.

No country in the world offers greater facility for stock breeding than does Argentina, in South America, and in no place is breeding carried on more extensively. The late droughts there, however, have played havoc with the herds, and reports from a single province show how great has been the destruction. This is the province of Entro Rios and here, lately, 200,000 head of cattle have perished; 150,000 sheep and 20,000 horses, the whole being valued at $3,000,000 in currency. If this same rate is found in other provinces the loss must have been truly enormous.
