C. P. Fisher, is Victim of Ferocious Onslaught of House Cat Which Turns upon Him While being Petted. Wounds May Result Seriously.
    C. P. Fisher, Libertyville’s veteran mason contractor, was the victim of a most unusual occurrence the first of the week the family cat attacking and biting him in such a manner that the attendance of a physician was found necessary.
Mr. Fisher was sitting in a rocking chair in his home stroking the house cat which was lying on the floor at his side. Suddenly and without warning the creature turned on him fastening its jaws in the flesy part of his hand between his thumb and forefinger biting and scatching his hand and arm in a frightful manner. He attemped to detach it with his other hand but the cat turned and grasping that in its teeth lacerated it as well.
Dr. J. L. Taylor was called and dressed the wounds which are serious. Garry Fisher in the mean time killed the cat in order that no other members of the family might be attacked. It is not known whether the cat was having a fit, was a victim of the rabies or whether the unprovoked attack was simply due to a fit of anger.
