    In a combat between a diamond rattlesnake and a blue racer, the latter was victorious over his more virulent adversary. During the fight, reports a writer in Science, the racer was badly bitten by the rattler; whereupon the former worked his way to a patch of weeds and bit into the stems, extracting the juice, after which he returned to renew the fray. This peculiar performance was repeated in a short time, when the racer again returned and destroyed the rattlesnake.- Science American.
