Uncle Dick and Lisa's Old Time Animal Tales

     Rufus D. Shupstring, a farmer, of Safford, Ala., noticed some time ago that one of his cows was not giving her usual quantity of milk, and, thinking that some of the negroes were milking the cow at night, set out to watch her when, to his surprise, he saw four pigs out of a litter of six sitting under the cow and enjoying an evening meal. He says the pigs were getting sleek and fat, while the cow has fallen off considerably.
