Eagle

Published in The Waukegan Gazette on May 21, 1881.

     An eagle was shot in Lapland on the neck of which was a brass chain with a small tin-box attached. This box contained a slip of paper on which was written in Danish: “Caught and set free again in 1792 by N. and C. Anderson, Falster, Denmark.
