The Beaver line steamer Lake Winnipeg, Capt. Taylor, twenty-five days out from St. John, N. B., has arrived in Liverpool. Capt. Taylor reports having had a terrible voyage, during which the vessel had such a large quantity of water in the engine room that the passengers had to be called upon to assist in clearing and righting the cargo, which had shifted during the heavy weather. The fires of the Lake Winnipeg were out for more than a fortnight, and 307 head of cattle, twenty-two horses and seventy-four sheep had to be thrown overboard, owing to he scarcity of drinking water and the inability of the engineers to work the condensing apparatus.
