Both Duelists Dying.

Published in The Lake County Independent, Libertyville, Illinois on September 14, 1894.

A frightful duel with knives was fought by two prominent farmers, Thomas Osborn and Marcus Murphy, near Polkville, Ky. Murphy’s hogs broke into Osborn’s cornfield, and this caused the trouble. The two cut and slashed each other in a frightful manner, and were both found dying in pools of blood.
